Regarding The Chosen so called there at the AJN, what I notice this last few days is

1. mover and shaker Brian Sherman waxing lyrical on ABC conversation hour last Friday his cultural concern to support Israel;

2. John Lyons heart breaking story about effective land use legal aparthied in Jerusalem cover story in The Australian

3. a Holocaust survivor human interest feature in The Good Weekend rival to Oz.

But my question for the loyal diaspora here including AJN is what do they really know about the Yigal Amir factor in their own beloved IDF. John Lyons has put a fairly compelling piece together about “the sickness” which is surely about sublimated rage and displacement.

Meanwhile quite a few of us have a dose of ‘holocaust’ in the history there, mine being the 1 million deaths from political induced famine in Ireland. At some stage Israel is going to have to let go, not forget but move on. Or Yigal Amir will win.
