Tom - damn these laptops, they're too small for anyone whose fingers grew wide & hard in the real world. I could just about manage my old, 4th hand, apparently steam powered, desk tower with something approaching a real finger sized keyboard but it died.

..and apology for the 'new' laptop keyboard typos. The last sentence reads 'well you start to notice how the NSW Govt gets away with its public policy disasters. The Big Media are not pulling their weight.

Yes I know Cameron in Sydney after 8.30 gets her teeth into lots of stuff but it's not podcast and its not, as Chomsky might say, a relevant or even big audience?

I wonder.

One wonders what the community media lifestyle of the bloggersphere is doing to the SMH broadsheet readership and advertising.

For myself I notice great alarm in the SE of NSW green groups about the RET/ETS creating a perverse result of even greater escalation of native forest destruction for woodchips. Like the 800 year old Eucalyptus Fastigata down in Brown Mountain: Wet forest resistant to bushfire, not included in the recent 400 ha reserve by the Brumby Govt. To be turned into spindly dry schlerophyll regrowth.

As classy as their env reporter Marian Wilkinson is, what we have in there edition to today is yet another twee article from south coast hobby farmer James Woodford leveraging his govt contracts in the Southern Catchment Authority about fish ladders. Now this is fine for a post weekend dose of nature 3 day nostalgia. Smart placement even. But it's approaching the Seinfeld much ado about not much.

And when combined with the prime time 702 breakfast shift with Adam 'big brain' Spencer 's determined Seinfed style waste of precious public media dollars on shallow tripe and JJJ style japes .....well you start to notice how the ALP Govt
