The left is the last bastion of progressive policy in Labor but the left, as ever, couldnt organise to have sex in a brothel. The right might be just a poor mans Liberal party but they really do know how to make the machine work. Chisholm and Kaisers performance during the state election was abysmal yet it was Woods head that rolled. There is a move by the right to close down left branches and if Scott ends up being the head of the of the allied LHMU/QPSU (what are they gonna call this thing anyway? The miscellaneous public servant union?) what happens to 'powerbroker' Bullock? Another leftie rolled by the right perhaps...Before we know it the right will have built a nuclear reactor at Cubby station and while those guys are laughing all the way to the bank the left will still be cutting each others throats. Maybe its time for the left to reappraise their position and decide whether there is any future for progressive politics in a Right controlled Labor party?
