The 'bans' don't prevent the partners involved from dispensing business advice, preparing company reports or undertaking other accounting and finance roles. An underling responsible for a fraction of the balls-up would undoubtedly be fired with cause rather than sent on holiday or transferred to another division. The ICA will lose all credibility if they refuse to more severely punish such behaviour.
