Congratulations to Channel 9 for shafting AFL followers in Brisbane. Up to last week the NRL show has been on 9 analogue at 9.30 and the AFL show on 9 HD at the same time, giving Brisbane viewers the opportunity to catch up on AFL or NRL gossip at a reasonable time. From last week 9 in its “wisdom” decided to have the NRL show on both channels at 9.30 and the AFL show on at a time that finishes at 1.30am Friday. Workers are not going to sit up till that time and then go to work that morning. Many thanks to the programming boofhead who thought that one up. You’ve lost me.

Chrissie Pyne and the blob Akerman, on the same programme. Arghhh never, Q and A is off limits in my house tonight. If Tony can’t suitably embarrass the blob then he will never qualify for the 7-30 report front job. Pyne will have the audience throwing up. Perhaps a piano could be made available and Chrissie can do his version of a castrato
