Not sure if it&#039;s such a long road trip. Did it on back of a ute in 1990 with the locals from Kokoda village to Popondetta/Oro Bay ferry to Lae.

And it seems to me the real tradition is to walk north up the track/trail from Sogeri. And not fly in at Kokoda.

No criticism of anyone here. Possibly safer to fly in to avoid unexpected exposure to raskol gangs but even so methinks the risk of flying can be completely avoided.</description>
