The whole idea of our governments being left to deal with climate change while ignoring "thr fruit on the ground" can only give concerned citizens the feeling of impending doom. How can an informed community that wants real change on carbon emissions take action that will achieve significant change? But the idea is not only to reflect sunlight from the small fraction of the earth's surface that is built up, but also to cool down cities and buildings so occupants use less air-conditioning. We're waiting for carbon sequestration, cold fusion, things like that, but many simple opportunities are staring us in the face.
