It’s sad Mr Grech didn’t twig the difference between being physically and psychologically burned out. If he felt he had a shortened life may be achieving in the workplace compensated.
Turning the tables on the public servant without one word of empathy says everything about Turnbull and his compassion and instincts on human nature. Able to shed a tear over losing his Mum and Dad but incapable of feeling for others. Perhaps Turnbull should get some professional help too.

I feel a level of sympathy with Gretchy … but … why did he continue to do the ‘work’ that he did? If I feel ‘indisposed’ I will not take on a job, especially if I think that it is important (lost a few jobs that way .. but … )

The other question is - why not escape the ‘tender’ mercies of the Canberra mental health syste and come up to Nimbin. A bit of hands on physical labour can do wonders for a confused psychological state and there are some really ‘cute’ communities out here where Grech can recover his perspective and identity in an environment of, more or less anonymity. Tolerance, re-aligning one’s perspective … noooooo … I wasn’t talking about ‘re-education camps’ …
