So is the Gay community wanting to return to a Coalition Govt? Just what do they think they will get from that lot? The Abbotts,Abetz,Ruddock's,Tuckey's,and others with their ultra conservative views plus Feilding thrown in. Do they want to return to the dark ages again?
Give it time, even in the States the Gays champion Pres Obama is not agreeing with gay marriage yet. There are times legislation for change will take time, lobby by all means. Threats will change nothing.

K Rudds Labour

liberal words,Liberal actions

Why doesn't rainbow labour run as its own party and use whatever balance of power it may earn on its own right to push forward its own agenda. I also this should apply to all labour factions. |I dont think their is a labour party anymore, just a collection of aspirational people not born with a name that could get them a seat with the liberals, using the labour name to pretend people care about their issues. No wonder Mr Hawke was honored by this lot. He is the ultimate achiever in their eyes he turned his intelligence in money and influence. What did it cost his party and the people it is meant to represent? How many union leaders have had their political careers (instead of their members wishes) at the forefront of their minds in negotiations since.
