In my opinion, she was the worst thing to happen to the ABC in recent times. She canned good shows, and allegedly took credit for ideas not her own, and placed blame on those under her for mistakes she made. How on earth she was promoted into that position is beyond me. Hopefully the ABC can now see some good content and fresh and new ideas coming through. Watch this space, I guess!

Being an unashamed baby boomer, I think the appreciation of humour is subjective, and does vary between the generations. It is interesting to watching The Chaser diehard supporters squirm when their sense of humour is not shared by everyone else in the community. Personally I thought the episodes of the The Chaser up to and including the Make a Wish segment were largely not funny, and I told the ABC so. After the 2 week break, it was good to see some of the old Chaser humour and irreverance back. I enjoyed The Chaser pretty much up until this year. Some of their segments were some of the best houmour I have ever seen and left me laughing days later, but this year you could see they were struggling. I am left wondering about the segments done on the Catholic Church. If similar segments were done on Islam or Buddhism, no doubt there would have been outrage, and I am surprised the Catholic Church took those segments on the chin. I hope the Chaser go on to bigger and better things , hopefully not on commercial television, where their humour does not fit. It would be a shame to remember them badly.

"...She was nominally in control of The Chaser..."

Accountability is such an outdated concept.

Fancy being caught too.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out Courtney.

"...Ms Gibson is bolting for the private sector, where she will up the position of Director of Program at Southern Star Entertainment...now owned by Endermol, the giant European producer that makes such gems as Big Brother..."

Hmmm. Gems indeed.

Good luck with that.
