Crikey - I was very disappointed that you would publish a moronic tipster's comments in "NSW: a State of chaos" that "Citizens who are being increasingly booked under this State’s draconian revenue-raising campaigns are starting to fight back"

Whether the comment was intended to be frivolous; and irrespective of whether the laws are "just" or not, no one doing their job should cop violence.

This seems a very serious issue - and violence against Parking Officers should NOT be condoned in any form.

The recent media reports are alarming: (from SMH)
* Nearly 50% of respondents to a survey have been physically attacked on the job

* 11.5% had experienced a major physical assault which left them with injuries ranging from broken bones, ligament damage, cuts, fractured eye sockets and nerve damage.

* 78% had been threatened with violence

* 81.7 had experienced threatening or intimidating behaviour such as stalking,

* 98% had experienced some form of verbal abuse.

I don't know any parking inspectors, but I sure do know of irate drivers who can't control their tempers and somehow think they can take it out on people just enforcing the law.

We wouldn't expect any less protection for our Police men and women (not "Keystone Cops") or Train Guards (not "Goonz").

Whatever happened to respect? Clearly your tipster has none.

<>
That Northcote Shopping Centre has 2 crappy Coles and an ALDI in the same shopping centre. A rumor or tip without fact makes it what? Pointless comes to mind.

San Pelligrino is aweseome stuff. Also it's not still water. It's mineral water. If Clover Hill is planning to have sparkling mineral water coming out of the water taps sign me up for a job at Sydney Clown Hall.

oh and if you live in melbourne, you should be buying EVERYTHING from
the Vic Market. No need to frequent these price gougers like we have to up
here in Sydney.
