The Greens oppose the CPRS not because it is too weak, but because it will point Australia in the wrong direction with little prospect of turning it around in the timeframe within which emissions must peak, says Senator Christine Milne.
Hu is being held in China?

I used to work at the corner of Abbott and Costello streets in St Marys. True story.
I’m just happy it wasn’t about baseball
Abbey should join Foreign Affairs. Peaceable, questioning and wise beyond words. If only Julie Bishop could display the same qualities.
It had to happen, same with headlines in The Oz, BK the other day ‘Hu knew’. Only Hu surely did know, or he does now. Poor bastard.
I heard earlier today on abc RN the iron ore price negotiations are still underway. That pretty much defines the timeline for Hu surely? The Chinese simply nobbled Rio’s best negotiator - it’s pretty obvious isn’t it?
Keith is not my real name. God that’s a painfully long handle! I just want you to get relaxed and comfortable, lotsa stubbies in the portable fridge and you’ve just pulled the ring off the first of them. It is the football final at the MCG. All the brohaha at the MCG is in full swing and the latest American visitor has just finished trying to deal with the dreadful dirge which some people regard as their national anthem. At each end of the playing field figures dressed in brightly coloured sporting gear are arriving at the base of the gigantic flags through which each team will burst.
Suddenly over the various PA’s can be heard the terrible, no worse than terrible news that the star player, Brownlow winner, and the man who has become a bye-word in football, the man who will carry the hopes of hundreds of thousands of people. The announcer says he has been kidnapped by the Chinese on the basis of spying on the Chinese teams at the last Olympiad-guess where.
How would you feel about that?
