In a previous life, when mobile use was in its infancy, if a tap was required Telstra (fixed line) was happy to oblige as long as the paperwork followed "when conveneient". The budding mobile providers were just as eager to assist and less than punctilious about the paper.

I'm very interested to know about this remote loading of software onto mobile phones.

Is there a specific universal sms exploit I am unaware of? Do you need to know the OS running on the phone or the specific version for a given exploit?

Is this only affecting smartphones?

You see where I am going with this.

Also, It's getting pretty hard to buy an analogue cordless phone these days. You'd need a lot more than a VHF scanner to monitor the conversation on any modern digital cordless phone.

There is a lot of mixed in with some valid information here along with a laughable we must license and control the internet conclusion from your 'expert'.

I'd prefer a bit more research and analysis and a bit less advertising for some blokes detective agency.
