The Michael Jackson coverage excesses are not a new phenomenon. Nor is the propensity for the cheap standards historically plagueing media behaviours. Celebrity sells. Gullible and mostly young people cling to every word despite the fact the there are routine and glaring disparities in the reporting of celebrities themselves.
The question is really whether there is anything that Michael Jackson ever did that could be used positively for world change. If there is one single thing he did you would never know it because its too easy to explore his contradictory past rather than focus on a better context.
Afghanistan is a true human rights disaster. Global warming is a serious threat. Who is responsible for the behaviours of the public but those that control the media. Hitler may have excelled in the use of propaganda but its most insideous manifestation takes place today more than ever when the few that even care about reporting standards complain but dont do anything to reverse it.

Bloody heck Andrew.
As if those poor sods in Afghanistan don't have enough to endure.
Then again, the nightmare of being faced with Richard Wilkins and Karl Stefanovic, might just cause the entire country to rise up and throw out all the hostile invaders.

So perhaps you really *do* have a cunning plan.
