The media (with some honourable exceptions) dislike people with complicated ideas. It's not because the media (with some dishonourable exceptions) can't understand complicated ideas, but because complicated ideas are, by definition, harder to communicate.

Hey Bernard! When did you ever hear John Howard apologize? And how often did Joe Hockey stand up to him about locking up babies and kids until they were driven medically ill? How many times did he defend the sole parents, who were forced to leave their kids early in the morning so that they could arrive at work on time; or, due to a misunderstanding, not of their making, they were in receipt of Centrelink payments that they weren't owed, and then had their payments stopped for 8 weeks?

How many times, did Joe Hockey stand up for sole parents (mainly women) who were forced into the workforce when their youngest child turned 6, or was it 8? Still too young to be left alone! Spare me the adulation of Joe Hockey, or any other Coalition 'person' who preached about family values, said their 2 prayers prior to Question Time, and then passed resolutions that caused too many people anguish, heartache and financial hardship - of which you probably couldn't begin to comprehend!

There's maybe a handful of them who are worth a spit - Joe Hockey isn't one! (those who defied Turnbull over amendments to the Migration Act - Joe Hockey wasn't one).

It would appear, that some kids in this country are worth more than others! Oh yes, I didn't hear him stand up for the men who wanted to be with their wives/partners on the birth of their child, or an impending miscarriage, only for their boss to threaten them with or sack them. Joe Hockey defended WorstChoices as I recall, right up to polling day! Joe Hockey will only apologize if it means he'll get some kudos - and he did - from you! He doesn't have a principled bone in his body!
Incidently, did you challenge him over any of these things that I've raised????
