What do Dale Earnhardt and Pink Floyd have in common? Their last big hit was “The Wall”.

One reason many of us tell dead-celebrity jokes is to make fun of all the maroons who take these deaths as seriously as one in their own family. People are worried about MJ’s reputation being tarnished…guess what? It was! Deal with it. All of these people crying over his death is as fake as his nose.

Now, to go back to my PC see if I can come up with a good plastic-faced pre-embalmed child-molesting gender-bending skin-changing dude who sings with a girl’s falsetto.

Hey, Mick: Great joke! I didn’t get it at first. WTF is Sir Alex Furguson? Then I looked him up in Wikipedia - and also read about Gibbs. Ha! Best MJ joke I’ve heard to date. That’s why I checked out Ben Pobje’s article in the first place.

Well yes the MJ jokes aren’t very funny and in pretty poor taste. But the pandemic of MJ jokes that swept the Net, SMS and, one suspects twitter, in the hours following the announcement of Jackson’s death is an fairly strong indication that Jackson hadbecome a figure of ridicule for a sizeable proportion of the great unwashed out in reality land.
