As a moist Lib, I am shocked the Opposition does not back having this bill passed asap. In this case, the not-always-on-the-money Georgiou is dead right. We need decent not barbaric detention, not supervised by corporations used to brutalizing prisoners. The imposition of costs of detention is just pathological torture of the already suffering.

Dealing with illegal immigration at government level, as with providing a modern-world future for aboriginees, needs to be in the hands of people akin to Noel Pearson, who have a humane, realistic , tough, and above-all comprehensive view of cause, desired outcome, and practicable ranges of measures in 21st century terms.

And the support of parliaments that can focus on the main game, and can tear themselves away from play school for the impaired.

Again this Turnbull liar, fraud peddler has allowed the majority of his cronies to perpetuate the suffering of these former prisoners of refugee camps . Another example of his contempt for his fellow human beings. This Coalition is doomed to destruction as long as he and Hockey hold the reins and they deserve to remain in political oblivion. Lies, contempt, abuse, dirt, gutter politics a shameful legacy of a week that has destroyed any credibility Turnbull once may have possessed.

I couldn’t stomach the whole article, nothing personal Soph, I’m just outraged. I hope the Libs get absolutely smashed over this bill, and I’m glad to see some of them at least voting with their conscience.
