It always amazed me that any person in Australia actually voted for ugly characters like Vanstone, Reith, Ruddock, Abbott, Howard et alia (ugly both inside and out), but then people vote reflexively for parties, don’t they, without even considering the selected candidate. Although I suspect focus group results were the reason for eventual retirement from the field in some of those cases.

And when I say ugly, I mean floral print shirts.
