It’s easy to see why Ms Mirabella hired him. He’s perfectly in tune with her views on climate change. Modulo the political problems caused by his roving hands, he’s at one with her conservative philosophy.

Actually, I’m surprised that she didn’t stand by him. Going by her own conservative precepts, the groped women were obviously hussies and were asking for it.

When Robert O’Connor writes “… umm…”(think about it), do I presume he is presenting his credentials for an understanding of the “legislative requirements” of an adult Australian person who has never actually formally enrolled on any electoral roll? If so, then I’m afraid Robert has prematurely limited his own conceptual horizons. He’s lowered the bar, or more accurately, the shutters. Could there be none so liberated, so free, as them what’s name is on no official computer?

41 years of age, but only enrolled to vote in 2008? Isn’t that … umm … contrary to legislative requirements? Or are we just dealing with a creative mind?

I love the newspaper report of ‘seemed to be in exceptionally high spirits, or under the influence of alcohol’.

I’m no pharmacist, but I reckon there’s a very broad range of substances that could provide those sorts of ‘high spirits’.

That’s all very good and well, but the question on Crikey subscribers lips is

“Was Crikey invited?”

and if not “Why didn’t you gate crash?”

From all the reports it seemed like a fairly pissed-up affair.
