Well today Sen Feilding really showed he is from another planet. He advised at his doorstop interview this morning his wifes sister has swine flu and is staying at the Feilding household as there was noone to look after her. Further he didnt stay at home because he didnt "want to close Parliament down".
Then behold there he is, been in close contact with someone with swine flu, talking to a pregnant jurno a half a metre away. Does this individual take no notice at all of what goes on around him. Does he not realise the warnings from the Health Dept and the Minister of Health have been saying for weeks, stay at home if you have been in contact with a person afflicted.
Someone please tell me this is not an alien, it is for real. I don't believe it!!!!!!

Alexandra Penfold - How ridiculous. Steddie Eddie was parodying HIMSELF, not some other poor person. Send up yourself sure, have a laugh at something you know something about. But don't take that liberty with other peoples' suffering.

I found the Fritzl sketch absolutely offensive - for every (female, as they predominantly are) victim of sexual abuse and assault, every child born of rape, every family member who has had to witness one or more of their loved ones suffering.

As for the Make-A-Wish sketch, I am not against public debate about how money is spent, nor I am opposed to comedy that pushes boundaries. But - someone at highschool level could have made that joke up, and it would have been offensive but at least appropriate for the age level. The fact that so many people could laugh, or at the least not take offense, to these two controversial sketches, to me shows a lack of compassion, and, a total lack of understanding for those who have been affected by such trauma as incest or child illness.

I would be very surprised if anyone who has gone through such adversity would parody themselves to the extent that the Chaser did last week.

Hey Graeme Major - The plant earth has been trying this experiment for the last 10 years - CO2 rising steadily, but no temperature increase.....

http://www.drroyspencer.com/latest-global-temperatures/

Is the planet not doing the experiment right, or is it just a bit slow ?

Dear Graeme Major - Am I right in thinking that the lower atmosphere does not have a glass barrier preventing convection from eliminating heat upwards?

"Repeat until you get the same result as all the experts." - I'm not convinced that this is scientific methodology.

Graeme Major - nice experiment. I assume tube A had a 0.00035 CO2 content and tube B had 0.00045 CO2? And you really got a different temperature reading on those? You must be using some amazingly accurate instruments.

Also, how did you introduce other factors into the experiment that influence earth's climate? Like solar cycles, cosmic rays, plate tectonics, volcanic activity, changes in Earth's orbit and rotation, etc etc etc? I assume you controlled for every possible variable before you did this experiment?

Only at that point can you say that CO2 is the primary factor in climate change. But I'm guessing that your experiment didn't quite replicate Earth's climate system, right?

Gratton Wilson writes: Senotor Fielding claims to be an engineer.Does any one know what type of engineer he is and what are his qualifications. In any event surely even he knowe how to use Google or some such search engine to find the answers to his questions about climate change and sun spots. For that matter perhaps some of Crike's readers should relax their imaginations and do a little intelligent reading.
