Newspaper editors have to make that sort of judgement call on the fly, every day - and when they get it wrong are rightly hammered for it (remember the Sunday Tele's Pauline Hanson pics?). TV news editors, including those at the ABC, have to make similarly tough decisions virtually in real time. By the way, on the night that The Chaser returns it will at least have the helpful distraction of State of Origin 2, so a fair few people will be looking the other way.
