Julia Gillard appears to have no conception of what it is like to work on a construction site. Had she any idea of the lack of safe working which blights australian construction sites she would use the ABCC to attack the employers, not the employees. I still remember Julia addressing Labor 4 Refugees in Brisbane before Baxter opened and telling us all what a wonderful state of the art facility it was! Factional system dead? I dont think so, the complete right wing, winner take all, , factional control showed itself in Queensland last week with the privatisation vote, completely against the ALPs own policy. And the last few preselection ballots have been conducted without giving the local branch members a vote, again, against its own policy.
