The silence here is deafening. Difficult to defend the indefensible. As more comes out, it appears that mother of gossip and boredom Sen Abetz
fed Turnbull the supposed scoop after learning of a letter between Treasury staff, put 1 and 1 together, gave the result to Turnbull which turns out to be 3. Eric stuffs up again, orrible little man. In fact the train wreck that is the Coalition just keeps rolling on.

I liked Turnbull's Underbelly moment when he said that if Packer's assassin missed then Turnbull would kill Packer. Not only is he he bright, wealthy etc he is Dirty Harry as well.

Watch out for the shootout at the OK Parliament next time Rudd turns nasty. Turnbull could really bring old-fashioned entertainment back to Australian politics.

An amazing turn of events during QT in the House. The Opposition has flown the white flag on the economy, all the accusations, the threats, the doom and gloom, the millions of our children and their children swamped in debt, nothing today...instead Turnbull stood at the despatch box and insinuated improper behaviour by the PM,his staff, the Treasurer and his staff over free cars.
An amazing turn of events. Yesterday, kicked in the gut by figures they did not want to hear and could not dispute.
Today smear, dirt and of course the slimy Pyne couldn't wait to get into the gutter. This shows the opposition for exactly what they are, low life. Preceeding the 2007 election, several then Coalition Ministers, Hockey, Abbott,Ruddock,Downer, Andrews,Minchin and others threw mud, dirt and every other dirty trick they could conjure up. Today the old tactics returned, only this time the muck rackers have new names, led by the Leader of the Opposition. To spend an entire question time attempting to throw dirt, hoping some will stick, rather than continue to discuss the economic situation, says it all. Perhaps some of the learned Liberal contributors here would care to defend what went on in Question time today. I for one will be very keen to understand the logic.

Both Turnbull and Hockey would've been most disappointed yesterday. They'd have jumped with glee if the news was doom and gloom. They're so childish, despicable and pathetic, that I turn off or go and do something constructive when they're on the screen. Wash up or visit the loo, far more productive? I'd like a journalist, any journalist, somewhere, to ask Turnbull how his 'business interests' led to or supported the contribution to this latest financial debacle? But, where's a good journalist when you need one? When will he be asked why he supports supporting the banks (with our dollars) but fighting against rich people like him getting Medicare payments for visiting their well heeled specialists in Vauclause or wherever? Why isn't he arguing against rich (filthy rich) private schools getting money from the stimulus package? No doubt they'll also have their hands out to accept this years obscene financial handouts? Disgusting? What's their plan? I only hear him talking about a plan, never heard him give one monetary suggestion? Pathetic!

Perhaps if he objected to these obsesses, the remote schools in the NT would have more funds? Some funds? The hypocrisy gets to me! The sarcasm re Rudd govt's stimulus package, while ignoring the millions Howard promised in his campaign opening speech in both 2004 and 07. Was it 3 million a minute or more? A record amount as I recall? What did they do during almost 12 years in relation to infrastructure? Almost zilch! Nothing! Roads, bridges(many need replacing or repairing all around the country) schools, hospitals etc???
