The SMH is running a campaign against Rees and NSW Labor (with justification but still nevertheless slanted) so its line is unsurprising. The Tele is usually willing to bucket the government too but too their credit they did give equal billing to spending across the state and not just in Sydney. The SMH took a more parochial view: if its not being spent on Sydney roads then it is a betrayal of the city. Yes, the contrast is extraordinary.
