Alan,
I think you mean paragraph rather than sentence. That's the problem with pedantry, you have to be completely right all the time.

Mr Sandilands.
Your second last sentence contains the word 'countries;' it should be 'country's.' At least pretend that you know your grammar.

Alex,

I left those accidents out only because they weren't flights that had disappeared. We knew exactly where the Viscounts were near Port Hedland and at Winton, but the other two vanished without trace until the next day. To this day there is no fixed location for the TAA flight. Very little was found, and what was found had been dispersed by the ocean and the four winds.

Leslie,

I notice that in the last few hours, Air France has moved from completely dismissing any possibility of criminal acts bringing down the jet to saying it remained a remote possibility.

Hi Ben

In today's article about air crashes and those in Australia in the 60s, you forgot to mention two others - the loss of a Viscount at Winton Qld in 1966 and another Viscount at Port Hedland in WA in 1968. both total hull losses, no survivors. Probable cause in each each was engine alternator catching fire and inflaming the wing.

Regards

If I was a terrorist this is exactly what I would want. Complete mystery and terror. A large jet plane lost in the mid Atlantic in millions of cubic kilometres of ocean? Is there any possibility that a mid Atlantic bomb wasn't the cause?
