While vested interest continue to use Gosford and Wyong as their own fifedom. What hope is there of ever getting Gosford sacked. These fools have gambled around forty millions of ratepayers money and they are complaining about ratepayers complaining. If people would only step up and act this abuse of power and position would cease. Edward James Umina CBD

Lynda, your contribution is way off topic.

Regarding Ms Neal and her spouse: can't someone, somewhere, arrange for these folk to be put out of their misery? Or, at least, the former? Or to put something into the local water supply to increase the moral, social and ethical IQ's of the NSW Central Coast's leadership team?

What an unspiring article to place at the top of a new Crikey newsletter!

The continuing stream of unsavoury stories surfacing publicly about this person and those who are bound up with her indicate where the real problem lies.

To quote loosely some bard or other: "Off with all their heads!"

Here's another strange case of $100K potentially misallocated by the NSW Govt supposed to have been allocated to Botany Bay National Park, when Landcom was granted in a fairly disgraceful way the right clear rare Eastern Suburbs Banksia Scrub in the National Park.

Subject: Fw: BITOU NATIONAL PARK

Dear Dr Hawke,

Further to my email last Saturday concerning the operation of bi-lateral agreements I refer you to the following minutes from Randwick City Council Ordinary Council Meeting Tuesday 27th May 2003. The item was the Prince Henry Hospital 2003 Amended Masterplan.

"Northern Bushland Park

The amended master plan proposes five semi-detached houses in the northern bushland

remnant. This is an amendment to the master plan and requires the clearance of

approximately 0.23 hectares of ESBS bushland. It is understood that Landcom has

discussed removal of this ESBS with NSW NPWS and has come to an offset agreement"

An offset agreement is referred to. The offset was the $100,000 that was to be paid to National Parks so that National Parks could enhance ESBS values in Botany Bay National Park at La Perouse. As I wrote before I believe, given the nature of the transaction, that the NSW State Government Department(National Parks of the NSW DECC) should be able to demonstrate how the $100,000 has been spent and for monies not spent where spending will occur in the future. The 'flip' replies I have had to date indicate they don't understand their obligations let alone the significance of the act of destroying protected bushland.
