Very loyal to his corporate bias but as best I could see not a racist angle in his body and the Daily Telegraph was a much better paper during that time for it. In fact I think it is fair to say their front pager killed Jackie Kelly's seat in parliament and possibly even John Howard's as well, though I would like to think it was the unrusting work of Not Happy John team 3 years earlier. Recently Berty wrote that Bondi Beach needs a train but the real question is does it need a privately owned one with Gold Coast style high rise buying up the airspace rights? Thus he betrayed his Adelaide ignorance. Only Bob Carr could turn a good idea like mass transit so bad like that - speaking as a retired Waverley Councillor who helped kill the Macbank Lendlease proposal.
