A small correction!

Could not have said it better! If consumers are NOT buying, exporters CANNOT export (unless they give the stuff away), and commodity suppliers (like Australia) CANNOT sell their raw materials at decent prices, resulting in several operations being closed down or postponed.

So what do we make of today’s Age, where it is reported that CHINA’S economic recovery is “real” and could bring an Australian recovery within months - far sooner than the 2010-11 revival predicted in the federal budget, according to Reserve Bank Governor Glenn Stevens.

For gods-sake, China is even trying to subsidise the purchase of new cars by its middle classes.

Does Stevens know something we don’t know or did the emperor forget to wear any clothes?

How is it, the Japanese Yen remains fairly strong against the Australian dollar, given the huge downturn in their output?
