"I believe the woman in the Four Corners story has a civil claim for damages."

In New South Wales she is statute barred he limitation period for a personal injury claim is three years . I doubt that she has has an action in New Zealand as she has accepted compensation from a compensation scheme. So where?

Re "My daughter in Year 3 attends a Catholic primary school..."

So 8-year olds are now taught the basics of fraudulent behaviour in some private schools. What a novel curriculum innovation this is!

Next year we progress to outright theft, with trips to Woollies for practical sessions.

Forget chemistry and agricultural science, we will cut straight to the chase - drug manufacture, growing and distribution.

Public speaking focusses on practical skills of lying into a microphone on live TV and is compulsory for all senior school pupils.

By Y12 these students will be very highly skilled, thus avoiding the usual messy apprenticeship which involves inconvenient stays in custody.

After sitting the HSC, these high achievers will be ready for the big time - Board membership of an Australian public company.

Re: Ice creams, cadbury etc. This phenomenon has been happening for years. An example is the Hershey Bar index from the USA. Basically, the product shrinks, the price remains the same. Then, at a later time, the price is increased. Much moaning ensues from consumers. shortly there is a new advertisement "20% more at no extra cost !!!" Then the cycle begins again. The Hershey bar was 5c in 1933 and weighed about 53g. In 1968 it was still 5c but weighed only 21g. 1969 10c for 42g.
