They are doing a great job. My superfund has 35% of its investment in the big four and I want the dividends. Running an Australian Bank isn't easy. Nobody understands you. Nobody knows how hard it is to think up new fees and the pay isn't as good as what Buffet or Gates get. Not only that, you have to keep some very ordinary company with pollies to make sure they understand how hard it is and why you might need a bit if support from time to time. Usually once every ten years or so. Not only that, since Gail got her hands back on St George there aren't too many small banks to swallow up and Graeme has worked out there might be a bit of an oligolpoly or should I say quadropoly going on in the banking sector. Pick on someone who really deserves it like David Tweed, the Oil Companies or Telstra. Leave these guys alone! They are doing a great job.
