Gretal lame lame lame, condescending body language along with her chip on the shoulder patronising comments to people, I was cringeing, but that’s commercial networks for ya, confirming to me why I don’t watch commercial networks often, I just couldn’t resist this train wreck last night, I felt sorry for the 16 year old in the audience most of all, he was enjoying himself until she came along, lucky she left his table…..eventually, I bet he was hiding from her for the rest of the night, while she went around continuing to annoy and condescend all she could find.
Get a real host…..and NO! NOT Bert!!!

Rove McManus is a talentless knob and Australia is the only country in the English-speaking world where the little twonk could possibly make a living, let alone become a success, because the standard of comedy here is dire.

The commercial channels are run by hatchet-faced gangsters, and the so-called celebrities who rock up to this farce every year make me want to vomit.
Gretel Killeen was never the person to host any awards, especially if she wrote her own stuff, so who’s big idea was that? Don’t blame the poor cow, hang the cretins who put her there.
As for the audience, if a room is filled with nobodies is anyone actually there?

Roving Enterprises have got a cheek posting a disclaimer on here. What was that all about - protecting your reputation for rip roaring comedy? Working Dog you ain’t. Idiots.

Oh, that’s what it was all about? I thought it was the Oscars with an Oz accent. Same dresses, same hair-dos, same format, same, carpet, same place, same everything. So boring.
Wouldn’t it be cheaper to video the Oscars and subtitle it in Oz?
If we have to follow everything America does could we at least do it with style and class. Dare I hint at the word originality?
I exclude anyone associated with Channel Two from this travesty.
Or how to put on a million dollars worth of jewelry and make it look worth two hundred dollars. How to disappear in one moment and return covered in cotton wool the next. How to put on a hot pink suit and have it looking like a dull hot pink suit.
Most vomitus moment: The elderly lady MC draping herself around the shoulders of a bloke who looked about eighteen.

Knowing GK was hosting I snuck a look between the fingers covering my eyes and changed channels. Annie Lennox was singing. I actually she thought she sang very well after a bit of a rough start. Enjoying myself, I lowered aforementioned fingers just as the camera cut to Kerri-Anne Kennel-ly. In the audience. Singing along. And I had already eaten.

Well - the point of watching the Logies is to see how embarassing it can be. So on that basis last night was an absolute triumph! Forget the words or clothes, what part of the endless hand gesturing by Killeen has she not had bashed out of her.

The only comment I have on the Humphrey B. Bear sketch with Peter Phelps is that Humphrey had all the best lines!

The highlight of this year’s Logies were the comments on twitter. Wil Anderson quite happily took pot shots from the event, while hundreds of others did so from their living rooms. It was like having dozens of Terry Wogan clones commenting on absolutely everything.

The best comment of the night however definitely went to comedian Dan Ilic, giving his review of the woeful Peter Phelps sketch with Humphrey B. Bear. “Humphrey on stage begging for a job. No pants, no speech, wild gestures. That’s not kids tv, that’s an ice addict.”

Try as I might, I just can’t understand Gretel Killeen’s appeal and the show was embarrassingly produced. Thank god Channel 10 started Borat at 9pm.

During the moment of Killeen’s ‘shot dead’ on stage gag the cameras unforgiveably cut to the audience, then cut back to Killeen lying on the floor. For the gag to work we really needed to see her take the bullet - if not a fake one then , well, a real one would do just fine.
