The Polls were right ? - What a complete wank !
Pollsters ,political analysts and economic forcasters should all start with 100 points in the credibility bank which reduces after each stupid or incorrect prediction.
Once they are bankrupt they should be banned from making public statements.

The fact is when the guru's changed his name to "The Borg" and started marketing him on FM radio stations and let him answer questions like he was an idiot -it was impossible to vote LNP without feeling embarrassed.

We need a change of Government in Qld after 11 years but not any change.
For goodness sake, find someone we can vote for.
The fact is when the guru’s changed his name to “The Borg” and started marketing him on FM radio stations and let him answer questions like he was an idiot -it was impossible to vote LNP without feeling embarrassed.

We need a change of Government in Qld after 11 years but not any change.
For goodness sake, find someone we can vote for.

I was quietly optimistic about Queeslanders electing an Anna Bligh led Government. Queensland has evolved - I live in Ipswich West - an ALP member - and we won rural booths never won before! Yes what joy, and shock for my opposing scrutineers. I knew that the demographics were changing and favouring us. Young working families are moving into the area for affordable housing and Woolies opens next week, yee ha!
Springborg was too cocky and blind to the reality of a State that has evolved....I am sure that in the last week the public knew that Borg was a hollow man, and there was nobody behind him that had a modern vision.
It took over a hundred years for a woman to become Premier and as Anna Bligh said we will not be view as backward anymore.
As economic refugees from Kennetts Victoria our family has thrived. Sure we were ahead in cultural ideas and views and we were shocked by the early German migrant/Lutheran conservatism and Pauline Hanson winning the primary vote at our polling booth, but things are evolving........Education has to be brought up to standard after generations of limited and censored schooling.

Sure, there is a nineteenth century mind-set in some quarters, but knowledge of impending Global Economic Recession and the LNP keeping heads in the sand, regarding Global Warming and Acid oceans, pressed in on the majority making a safe bet.

The increased Labor support in Ipswich West booths especially at Fernvale and Lowood is testament to the changing demographics. In the end Anna Bligh presented a resilient, contemporary woman in charge of herself and government and local candidates worked hard to show they were better for the tasks ahead. No more Borg bullying rhetoric on the t.v. every night....heeeheee.
