I've always voted for Labor in Queensland - not because they are smart or ideologically appropriate but because (since 1989) they've looked smarter. And had one or two less dickheads in the team.<br />Anna Bligh came into the job after an apprenticeship where she carried off some of Beattie's dirty work with aplomb and with the support of the AWU boys club. She hasn't got Beattie's political nous behind her now and with Mike Kaiser and the usual AWU suspects crowded into the back rooms and half the smarts retiring she's got no hope of disciplining the team.<br />Without nous, with plenty of inexperienced new blood and with the usual AWU thickshits holding the reins, the drover, with or without a dog, could win this election.
