"Angry SA Liberal" seems to be oblivious to several points. In the SA Liberal leadership team, the two deputies are women - Vickie Chapman and myself. In the legislative council preselection, yes the first 3 candidates are male, but they also happen to be sitting MLCs. The next two highly winnable (and statistically we do win 5) positions are held not only women, but by women of diverse backgrounds. Jing Lee (4th) is a migrant Australian of Malaysian Chinese background and Rita Bouras (5th) is a 1st gen Aussie of Greek background. I've just been at a seminar with Elizabeth Broderick as guest speaker, who has given us the latest ASX200 board and executive-level statistics. Australia clearly has a problem promoting women to senior positions and in comparisonto the ASX200, the SA Liberal Party is looking pretty damn good.

Quite right Michelle. Now all you need to do is win enough votes to get 4 or 5 Leg Councillors up. Good luck with that one.

And saying you're better then big business- I'd say you're about the same and that's not a good thing.
