One factor you omitted - the LNP are obviously cashed up and very well organised, presumably pumped up by Clive Palmer's largesse. Labor by contrast seem to have been taken by surprise by the timing of an election they called. The LNP were highly visible from day 1 - Labor seem to have forgotten to print posters and leaflets, or to have booked any ad space. Added to which, they have made some candidate selections that are aimed more at settling internal scores than at winning votes. This was always going to be won or lost on the campaign - and so far, Labor are losing badly.

You don't seem to be on the ball with the Qld election. Have a ook at Anna Bligh's "team". When she assures you that Paul Lucus will be retained in the "next" government it sends shivers up your spine. Beattie had Anna behind him but what has she got?

Richard Farmer’s Crikey Queensland election indicator has Labor comfortably ahead with a 68% chance of winning, which is not consistent with this story (which might be biased) nor with the last couple of opinion polls, which might be affected by the pollster or the polled playing funny buggers. In any case, the outcome is looking less than predictable even if the campaign is less than enthralling.
