Perhaps Jonathan Krohn will be the US William Hague - who wowed Thatcher & her toadies at a Tory Conference when he was 15.
After the 1997 evisceration of the Tory party, when the usual time servers & non entities had refused (hi Pete!) or failed miserably, he was begged to become leader, to the delight of cartoonists and NuLab.

The more things change, etc. Young Jonathan Krohn's speech is reminiscent of the teenage (but old before his time) William Hague's 1977 address to the UK Tory Party Conference. Hague went on to become an unsuccessful Tory Leader with that speech replayed constantly to haunt him. Young Krohn is politically doomed already. No doubt Krohn will be claiming he did copious amounts of Ice (or whatever da kidz are doing nowadays) 10 years from now in an attempt to prove he's an electable man of the people.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/politics/871543.stm
