    IThe whole Miranda/Bolt thing is a pain. They get paid for the outrage that they cause, the more outrage the better. We rightly get outraged, and they get more money.

    It’s like the Simpsons when the Advertising monsters start destroying the town. The only way to stop them is for everyone to ignore them. If some people still watch, they might start believing the nonsense, and then everyone else has to tell them to stop.

    Disclosure: this is not the first time I have made this observation, but,dear First Dog, it seemed appropriate to give it the second airing when I read your Vicious Polemicist offering., because there is a grain of comfort if you consider that for every Miranda Devine there just might be,(if we are luckier than we perhaps deserve,to be) a Professor Fiona Wood.

    This is incredibly insensitive! Though I agree Miranda Devine is beyond the pale, to specify what it would take to actually lynch a living, identifiable person is in just as bad taste as the outrage you purport to be satirizing

    Both barrels FD (No Cathy we’ve taken this bit out) who went into bat again for Peter Perfidious Costello at the weekend. Fancy telling Hewson to move on so Peter P can continue treason in the Liberal locker rooms. The Peter P fan club at News Limited has become so extremist they’re killing off the Party they think he loves.
