Bob Gosford has written with great insight into the politics of the ALP in the Territory.

The Cat can just go and drink milk, or whatever ALP apparatchiks usually drink. The Govt of the NT is indeed in a parlous state. Its politics are sick, its financial management is in total disarray - global financial crisis has nothing to do with it at all - and it is devoid of strategy for the healthy future of the NT. Health, Education, planning, environment - you name it - all in absolute crisis.

Scrymgour should have gone long ago - and Alison Anderson is actually one of the very few NT ministers doing anything like a reasonable job.

And the Wicking cartoon in the NT News this morning said it all.

Go Bob - you are right on the money!

Gosford displays his usual capacity for spinning gossip & guesswork into assertion & pontification.

If he had some hard facts to bolster his pompous judgements, this Cat would be more impressed.

In several regards, he is way off beam, not least in his characterisation of himself as a seer.

Nor is his portrait of Alison Anderson and her relationship to Marion Scrymgour any truer.

In fact, he could hardly be further from the truth.
