Just wish that Kevo pinches more Greens ideas. What about solar hotwater on roofs as well. The power you save on heating your water, pays it off over time(cost was about $2500-3000 frost zone model(15 yrs old) and now i have free hotwater, unless you get a week without sun. And a power bill under $200 a quarter with two air cons and all mod cons. Just because your green, dont mean you live in a cave.

Bob Brown will be chuffed.

He predicted the insulation boom when talking about 8500 sacked miners: "Let's ... retro-fit with insulation every house in Australia. There's tens of thousands of jobs there right across the country," 21/1/09

It's the Green "wet-dream".

Those pillagers and rapists of the earth (ie miners) get their just deserts. The filthy miners can get up in our roof cavities and lay down insulation for us. Sure it's unskilled and temporary, but who cares?

This is so very typical of the Green Movement. Lets face it, they hark for some sort of agrarian society where the organic wheat can roam freely in the fields in a matriarchal co-op setting. But only if they say so...

It's not all Labour jobs they're talking about though, is it. Working towards new forms energy would encourage a major focus on creating new technology, instead of use the same crap that's been around for decades - EG - Nuclear.

Apart from just the labour required, there would be Engineers, Scientists, Biologists, Computer types, the list goes on.

So let's get off the grass and get moving Kevo!
