Dream Theater put out an album about Queensland politics called Ministry of Lost Souls - well I thought they had the pineapple state in mind. Anyway there's a whole parliament full of them wandering through an administrative maze from which I assume Springy emerged last week with a 'strewth let me out of here' as a trail-bike bulb flashed on. Whammo he was out at Ipswich in a motorcycle store promising millions to put those as frustrated as himself on some sort of beaten track. But its not just the Liberal National tribe you'd swear were on jungle juice. Anna Bligh opened the billion dollar-plus Tugun de sal plant last month well before it operational date and drank bottled water to toast the non-occasion. That's Queensland - a milieu of uncultivated confusion.
