The truth is the area the mine operates in is almost completely uninhabited and wouldnt normally be occupied land if the mine wasnt there....theres been so much beat up on this story, the truth is that the so called affected indigenous groups live over 100kms downstream. Its time a little more truth was reported in this story and a lot less Oprah-audience like howling was heard. Its completely unrealistic to expect restoration of the river to its pre diversion state.
