But then, for Labor it is always a battle to getting anything other than union into its ranks, so it needs to look outside the box every so often. Who was the last 'celebrity' to make a real contribution? Maxine McKew, Peter Garret, Kirsty Marshall or Mary Delehunty - can't think of anything any of them have done except attract a few votes while distracting people from the issues. Wonder who is next?
