Kevin 07’s moving forward agenda’s got me baffled. I thought (well hoped) he’d be a bit wild about turning the pages on Howard but he’s making last year’s Liberals look not half bad just frivolous with the truth. With a time-warp past as a Queenslander it’s quite possible our PM will stick with what worked last summer for some time. Which explains why we’re keeping a million-dollar detention centre on Christmas Island closed as its primitive proto-type takes in inmates; why we said sorry to our indigenous people but cheered the Palm Island police; why computers went on hold after Gillard tossed out all the mouse-pads as the states pulled the plug on education. So no real emissions cuts, propping up industry and delivering rescue packages to those who failed us also makes sense. We just didn’t think he’d do it.

'... a country that makes things ...' is usual protectionist mantra.<br /><br />'... that people want to buy ...' is the bit so egregiously left off. And on which our nation's future actually depends.
