Wow. I just read the article and the Member for Higgins reflects an inarticulate Paul Keating. His opinion piece is simplistic in thought and translation with a big slice of political lemon. Australia is a pitiful movie if you’re looking for deep and meaninful stuff - no doubt the government got done over by someone else’s biased conviction on its historical offer. No wonder the Memoirs faded quickly. Along with Australia (the movie) they’re not worth a chronological cent.

Why hold back Mr School Teacher? why not really give it the postmodern literary deconstruction you are just dying to? What about the omission of any LGTB voices in the text? what about the lack of feminist perspective? what would Marx say?

I don’t know how they do it in Victoria, but in the Peoples Republic of NSW, we wouldn’t let an opportunity like that sail by.
