This is lovely. The previous hobby-horse of this crowd was VSU, which the Old Young Libs hoped would protect new Young Libs from having to put their money towards student organisations which tended left. But at least that truly was in line with the individual-responsibility mantra. This on the other hand is just whining to a Senate inquiry. And the findings are gold: “the Committee remains puzzled as to why these greivances were not pursued through the ordinary academic channels”. Indeed!

Well written article Jeff. The young populist right seem to come out of the same tote-bag as the young populist left. Politically Correct metronomes marching to a belief in God. And devoid of humour.
If John Howard, and his unsavoury cohorts saw the emergence of the Youth/Christianity/PC, movement it was Kevin Rudd who has perfected it. And this Bigood person, why do all the extreme lunatics come from QLD?
This rant may not be germane to Jeff’s article ; but I had to get it out of my system.

That is gold. I see from The Age article that the Australian Liberal Student Federation president is called “Byron Hodkinson”. That fits my image of a snivelling tory twerp just perfectly. Hurrah! bitty mummy bitty!!!
