The powers that be are getting a bit nervous about this scam because too many people are waking up to the fact that it is an experiement in global taxation with a management percentage taken off the top by the banks for running. (Garnauts suggestion not mine - not his either!) So its "let's see if it goes away if we don't say anything time. Anyway, the client folower media will all of a sufdden stop talking about this stuff and pick up on the latest idea for taxing us all.(TUA)
Seriously...why not focus on the real probalem - our ever diminishing rainforests which according to the UK Independent are owned by the mortgagor World Bank which seems hell bent on cutting them down as soon as possible. (Refer reports from the WB on its own investigations into who is responsioble for the sell off of prime rainforest to global loggers and agribusiness.

You see poor unsuspecting Third Worlders have all of these unaffordable loans for useless infrastructure projects forced upon them and carried out by First Worlder corporations which they have no hope of repaying.. Yep. The rainforests - why doesnt somebody talk about the rainforests? Far more worrying than too much C02 folks.

Kevin Rudd shouldn't have led us along the path of hoping his government would do something about the bollocksed up climate unless he was prepared to do something about it. Creating yet another committee to handle yet another meaningless summit is becoming our Prime Minister's forte.
