Foreign correspondents do matter, they are important. I am sick to death of the shlock that is being served up by mainstream media. I really dont need to be told that this person felt scared, or that person was terrified. I dont need to hear 'their' story. I want in depth reporting. I want to know the why's and what's, I want to be informed. I dont want to be dumbed down, maybe that is the challenge for mainstream media and why people are using the internet to gain information.
