The Herald-Sun for sport and the Age for information. Sadly the herald-sun delivers but my wish for proper news and reporting is sadly unmet by the Age.<br /><br />I really want to keep abreast of what is happening back home but have come to the realisation that I have to look at the Australian, and put my bias filter on full, to get any idea.<br /><br />Fairfax is really missing out on a highly educated, high earning group of ex-pats by dumbing down its on-line content.<br /><br />Ian in London I live in london and read the Melbourne newspapers on-line each day. I can now read any news journal in the world I want without having to leave home or contribute to forest destruction. And I don't have to wade through stuff that doesn't interest me as I have to do in a conventional newspaper.<br /><br />2. I can't trust the main media to provide news without a biased slant, depending on the owner's policy and the Fossil Fuel Industry's advertising leverage.<br /><br />So, whenever I find a Crikey model that has contributions I want to read, from journalist I've leant I can trust, I will subscribe.<br /><br />Mostly I get what I'm interested in from many different international blogs....../Chris There are two main reasons I don’t buy newspapers anymore:
