Dear interested readers<br />I do apologise for the headline given our article. This was not ours and crept in during the publication process without us having an opportunity to correct this. It has, not surprisingly, given offense to some of our obstetric colleagues. The title we had for the piece was the unintended consequences of current funding models for women. Please do not allow this unrelated heading distract from the text as it is clear that the headline does not reflect the content or intention of the article. It shouldn’t be allowed to get in the way of issues that are bigger than professionals and certainly do not reflect the good relationships we have as colleagues.
