Once again, the essence of this piece is that the Rudd govt are in sleep mode, not only regarding the summit itself, but in a much wider sense. we just keep waiting and waiting for something to happen re the Murray Darling, the Education revolution, the revamp of the Health administration mess, the fast broadband access, All the talk-fests we have witnessed in the last 363 days must result in action soon, before Australia just drifts off the edge. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Maybe just maybe $8billion of social security will do something for the numbers for December, but where to after that?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt; And let no-one be fooled! Just slipping inadvertently into deficit will fix nothing - it&#039;s the fundamentals that must be sorted out, and neither Swan nor all the left-thinking economists currently offering their advice have even started to come to grips with this conundrum</description>
